The Head of Design is expected to be an innovative professional, a proven designer and leader who can ideate, innovate, establish, and lead the brand’s design direction and process across complex product offerings in a fast-paced global environment.
The Head of Design will be part of a 365-day mountain-loving inclusive environment where people of diverse backgrounds, lifestyles, and nationalities enjoy working together in their shared mission to bring the heritage and love of the mountains through the 116-year-old brand to surprise and delight the current customers and engage and attract a new generation of people.

Place of work: Milan, Italy

Principali attività richieste

The Candidate’s profile should meet the following characteristics:

Bachelor’s degree or Master’s Degree in Art, Design, Fashion or related field.
At least 10 years’ experience in active apparel and/or snowsports industry.
Profound expertise in trend, colour, product design and creation, construction and fit.
An in-depth knowledge of design techniques, processes, and technology including 3D, preferably Clo, and a strong comprehension of product construction, textiles, and component materials. It would be a plus the knowledge of this for apparel, accessories and footwear.
A proven ability to create a new concept and bring it to reality on time and on target.
Ability to balance creativity and bottom-line business needs.
A holistic global understanding of regional consumer preferences and market differences.
Knowledge of costing components and product fabrication with the ability to achieve margin targets.
Ability to multitask and work against deadlines.
Precision and attention to detail.
A leader, able to define the vision, build organizational talent, coach and develop others by leading change.
Positive and professional communicator.
Mastery of the Adobe Suite, CAD and strong understanding of Ms Office, MAC OS
Excellent English communication both written and verbal. Knowledge of Italian and/or French is a plus.
